Dr. Wael Haddara was born in Egypt and moved to St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada, at a young age. He attended Memorial University at the age of 14 and graduated with a degree in Pharmacy.
Dr. Haddara moved to Hamilton to research Drug Development and Design at McMaster University where he helped to develop a patent for a gene therapy device at the age of 20. Soon after, he moved to Kingston, Ontario to study medicine at Queen’s University, completing his medical degree in 1999.
Dr. Haddara is a triple-certified physician and is the Medical Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital, London Health Sciences Center, and teaches at Western University.
In addition to his professional career, Dr. Haddara is an avid bibliophile, community activist, Canadian political analyst, and thought-leader on the Middle East.
Dr. Haddara is also heavily involved in community work in London, Ontario where he resides with his family. He continues to play a key role in his community, serving on the board of the local mosque, is a member of a local interfaith program called Abraham’s Cafe, and serves as board member for the Muslim Association of Canada.
